Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following written and oral instructions.
  • Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners with the use of small hand tools, such as pneumatic screwdrivers, etc.
  • Refills stock of assembly materials, such as bolts, small machined parts, etc. as needed to maintain required productivity level.
  • Assists with station breakdown and set-up as production requirements change.
  • Trains new employees on proper machine set up and operation.
  • Follows all defined safety procedures and uses judgment to ensure safe work methods.
  • All work affecting product quality shall be competent on the basis of appropriate education, training, skills, and experience.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Specifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of related experience and/or training.
  • Average score on basic skill test batteries.
  • Average score on mechanical concepts test batteries.
  • Use of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Occasional standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms to retrieve, grasp, or lift small parts or assembly items.
  • Frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
