Job Duties & Responsibilities

Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following written and oral instructions.
Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners with the use of small hand tools, such as pneumatic screwdrivers, etc.
Refills stock of assembly materials, such as bolts, small machined parts, etc. as needed to maintain required productivity level.
Assists with station breakdown and set-up as production requirements change.
Trains new employees on proper machine set up and operation.
Follows all defined safety procedures and uses judgment to ensure safe work methods.
All work affecting product quality shall be competent on the basis of appropriate education, training, skills, and experience.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Specifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
1 year of related experience and/or training.
Average score on basic skill test batteries.
Average score on mechanical concepts test batteries.
Use of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
Occasional standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms to retrieve, grasp, or lift small parts or assembly items.
Frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
