About You 

 

This person will be responsible for developing and delivering training materials for a wide range of product categories and new technologies, with an emphasis on energy management, and battery and electric products for STIHL Distributors/Branches, Dealers and customers.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinates with the training team, product managers, marketing, technical services and legal departments to create online training content for STIHL Distributors/Branches and Dealers. Training content responsibilities span a wide range of product categories, but focuses mainly on energy management, and battery and electric products. Video production/editing skills are NOT required.
  • Develop and occasionally deliver “train the trainer” content specifically focused on energy management, and battery and electric products that can be repurposed by STIHL Distributor/Branch Trainers and field staff. Makes necessary field trips to assist Trainers and field staff with seminars and to gather information for developing training content.
  • Upload, manage, and organize training content created in-house on iCADEMY®, the STIHL learning management system (LMS). Build and provide reports as needed.
  • Resolves STIHL Distributor/Branch/Dealer training issues as required in regards to the LMS independently or by escalating to partners/vendors as needed.
  • Assists with the review, testing, and implementation of LMS updates and enhancements.
  • Identifies future strategic development opportunities for the LMS as well as organizational needs and requirements for new LMS solutions or integrations.

 

Specifications

  • Bachelor's degree in vocational training in Electrical Technology
  • Previous experience with electrical or battery-powered tools and/or energy management is required.
  • Knowledge of California or other state energy industry and electric power markets, laws, and regulations is desired, but not required. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to instruct a mid-sized group comfortably and effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, while being through, detail oriented and organized.
  • Works well both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
