About You
You will oversee a team of product management professionals focused on solutions for key professional or consumer customer groups in North America. Manage existing product range to maximize revenue and profitability while minimizing complexity. You will also drive identification, refinement and implementation of new product ideas to better surround target user groups with solutions, while growing market share and innovate within consumer-focused and professional product categories. Collaborate with Global Product Management and R&D to support the product development process. Sell products in effectively to the North American sales organization, giving the sales force the tools necessary to sell against competitors. Support sales and marketing efforts and communicate actively with customers.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the work of the North American Consumer Product Team or Professional Product Team. Direct team members to assume strategic ownership of product line with a focus on key user groups, market conditions and complexity reduction. Focus team members on continuous improvement of revenue and profitability.
- Through a focus on surrounding key user groups with solutions, direct the work of team members researching and selling in novel ideas for future product development.
- Support the professional development of the North American Consumer or Professional Product Team. Identify opportunities for training and growth.
- Collaborate actively with Global Product Management, Sales and Marketing Teams.
- Identify and support execution of opportunities in systems and processes to boost team efficiency and speed, reduce redundancy and improve satisfaction of customers and colleagues.
- Develop and implement strategies to grow and protect market share.
- Responsible for successful US market launch of STIHL products with support of cross-functional teams.
- Support cross-functional teams in annual sales forecasting and volume estimation on potential new products.
- Support Global management initiatives as related to product range expansion and rationalization

Specifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Experience leading a team of professionals
- Excellent communication skills
- Business negotiation experience
- Collaborative attitude
- Market Research coordination experience
- Ability to drive system and process improvement
- Ability to focus team members on making data driven decisions
- Understanding of the North American outdoor or indoor power tools markets
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office software, including Word, Excel, Power Point & Outlook
- 7+ years of experience
- Up to 25% travel
