About You

You oversee the Quality Assurance function, ensuring that all components, processes, and products meet technical requirements. You provide technical support to internal teams and work closely with the Production and Engineering departments to resolve process issues and drive continuous improvement.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervises Quality Assurance operations to assure all components, processes and products will satisfy technical requirements.
  • Serves as technical liaison with STIHL R&D Germany, suppliers and internal production operations to effectively resolve all issues, promote quality, productivity improvements and cost reduction.
  • Supervises operations to assure all quality planning, budgetary, procedural, legal, personnel and safety requirements are effectively applied.
  • Promotes process improvement through the successful application of management and quality tools.
  • Supervises employees through the development and deployment of performance strategies that increase employee productivity, quality and well-being.
  • All work affecting product quality shall be competent on the basis of appropriate education, training, skills, and experience.
  • Assumes additional related responsibilities as required.

Specifications

  • 4 year degree in related field.
  • Minimum 5 years direct experience administering the quality function within a high volume manufacturing environment.
  • 5 years of related supervisory experience.
