Internship Summary:

STIHL Inc. has a full time opening for a Social Media Intern in our Marketing Department.

 

  • To support the STIHL USA social media marketing, content management, social care, global communications, analytics/reporting, and influencer programs.
  • Assist in the planning, development and deployment of editorial calendars for multiple brand offline, and social media platforms
  • Work with STIHL Legal team on all content approvals.
  • Review Global content calendar and coordinate with social media team, agency and legal to select content appropriate for use in the U.S. 
  • Review social post copy to ensure it is on-brand, legally approved and within brand guidelines and standards.
  • Assist social media, content, and influencer teams on planning and coordinating content shoots.
  • Assist social media & social care teams with social care items to ensure user questions/comments are handled in 24hrs or less. 
  • Experience posting to & monitoring social media platforms, to include: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter (X), LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok

Internship Goals:

  • Understanding of content editorial creation, collaboration and implementation across social media channels.
  • Plan and finalize seven social marketing campaign calendars throughout the year (Winter, Spring Battery, Spring Retail & Mother's Day, Father's Day & Safety Month, Summer, Fall, Holiday)
  • Review and complete reviews of 12 monthly global content calendars. Implement appropriate content for social use each month. 
  • Have at least 10 examples of handling social care items from start to finish, with social media team and agency. 
  • Work with content specialist and social team to plan and complete at least two social media content shoots.
     

Internship Requirements:

Academic Year: Junior or Senior

Area of Study: Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications

Preferred GPA: 3.0

Software Knowledge: Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Work Hours: 8:30am - 5pm

Compensation: $20/hour
