About You

The Product Marketing Specialist plans, develops, executes and maintains STIHL’s product marketing for full catalog of consumer market products across STIHL’s extensive product ecosystems. Aligning and supporting the efforts of STIHL’s Product Management staff, the Marketing Specialist ensures the consistency, accuracy, and efficacy of their responsible product messaging across all marketing and sales channels.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with cross-functional relevant Product Management staff to ensure consumer and accessory market products are positioned appropriately and supported with incredible storytelling that communicates the key features, benefits, and proper usage of the product.
  • Ensures the accuracy of consumer and accessory category product information within the product information management (PIM) systems and across the marketing ecosystem including retail communication, website, and any relevant marketing assets.
  • Leads the development and execution of all marketing content for consumer and accessory market product launches.
  • Supports product management, public relations, and other teams in the creation of internal and external presentation material regarding consumer and accessory market products.
  • Collaborates with Sales and Service to ensure that all relevant category product educational material is accurate, compelling, aligned with all other marketing material, and delivered on time.
  • Coordinates the efforts of internal contributors and external agencies in the creation of material that supports the marketing of consumer and accessory market STIHL products.
  • Sets and measures approved KPI’s for all consumer and accessory product marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborates with social media and digital marketing teams on relevant category marketing initiatives, launches, content, and influencer activations.
  • Ensures that all initiatives undertaken support the strategic product marketing plan and remain within scope and budget.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Experience managing websites, SEO best practices, Google Analytics, Google Ads, and CMS
  • Experience in telling the story of the various products within niche and nuanced audiences
  • Develop and implement product content and communication strategies that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to present the product marketing strategy
  • Understanding of industry trends, consumer demographics. Robust understanding of STIHL’s product line a plus but not required
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional internal teams, external agencies, and various customers.
