About You
This role will analyze, update, and submit accurate strategic, annual, and operational sales/purchase plans for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) finished goods (FG), ensuring product availability for all customers. You will control inventory flow between STIHL Inc. warehouses and allocate limited inventory to customers. You will lead in establishing and setting up new OEM part numbers and communicate between OEM Vendors and customers to resolve issues. This role will support the Demand Planning Manager with reporting and other improvement initiatives.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Analyze and update sales forecasts and purchase plans of OEM FG (units and accessories), rolling 24-36 months out. Plan and submit rolling forecasts and purchase orders to OEM Vendors, and save to GIS reporting.
- Control, analyze, and inspect OEM sales orders from Branch Dealers/Distributor Dealers for correctness, ensuring accurate and proportionally adequate allocation of inventory in limited supply situations. Monitor and control OEM inventory movements between STIHL Inc. warehouses for correct balance across all locations.
- Lead in determining new part number set ups required for OEM FG, coordinating with Product Management, Engineering Data Management, and STIHL Germany. Complete OEM FG set ups for sales and distribution. Inform Branch/Field Planning, Logistics, and other departments as applicable.
- Resolve product availability inquiries, coordinating and communicating between OEM Vendors and customer requirements; troubleshoot and correct sales order issues.
- Support Manager with reports / KPIs for OEM FG (monthly, weekly, as needed).
Specifications
- Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing Management, Logistics, Business Information Systems, or Data Science Degree/Diploma in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Sales and purchase forecasting experience
- APICS and Lean Six Sigma (LSS)
- Material requirements planning (MRP)
- Master data requirement fields and links between SAP modules necessary to conduct business
- APICS supply chain certification not required but preferred.
