- Compensation: $66,000 - $84,000 per year. Actual compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and internal equity
About You
We are seeking a Planning Analyst to manage and maintain sales and purchasing forecasts for finished goods, accessories, forestry, merchandising, and OEM products. This role will coordinate purchase orders and product planning with STIHL production companies and OEM partners, support new part number and master data setups, and collaborate across Product Management, Operations, Logistics, and other departments. The Planning Analyst will also help resolve product availability issues to ensure inventory and customer requirements are effectively supported.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Analyze and update operational plan: sales and purchase forecast of finished goods: units, accessories, forestry, and specific merchandising / OEM products a rolling 24-36 months out. Submit plans to Operations and STIHL production companies, and OEM and save to reporting.
- Plan and submit purchase orders to STIHL production companies. Overview and oversee separate order placements for direct shipments to distribution and support OEM planning.
- Lead in determining new part number set ups for domestic distribution. Coordinate with Product Management, Engineering Data Management, and STIHL Germany. Inform Branch Planning, Operations, Logistics and other departments of weekly set ups.
- Resolve product availability issues, coordinating and communicating between Operations, STIHL production companies, and customer requirements.
- Complete set up for sales & distribution and other specific master data information for all FG; and MRP views and other specific master data information for imported FG.

Specifications
Education: Bachelor's degree

- Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing Management, Logistics, Business Information Systems
- Degree/Diploma in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
Licenses/Certifications: APICS supply chain certification not required but preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-
- Sales and purchase forecasting experience
- APICS and Lean Six Sigma
- Material requirements planning (MRP)
- Master data requirement fields and links between SAP modules necessary to conduct business
- 3-5 years planning experience with national and global experience
Travel Requirements: Must be able to travel 5+ consecutive days per year by air
