About You
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Manages, coordinates, and guides engineers in obtaining, organizing, and analyzing data used to resolve production issues.
- Schedules and monitors concurrent engineering projects. Distributes, coordinates and organizes work to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met.
- Manages entire life cycle of assigned capital projects including: developing project specifications, working with suppliers and purchasing to gather quotes/estimates, determining budget requirements, completing and submitting decision templates for management approval, kicking off project, completing design review, managing build, running-off new equipment, and validating new equipment once delivered to STIHL Inc.
- Makes decisions on proposals for general problem resolutions, and proposes technical improvements, equipment recommendations, and improved work methods. Researches, designs, and implements systems, processes, technologies and materials to improve error-proofing, quality, increase production speed, reduce downtime, and improve cost effectiveness. Measures impact of changes on production cost, quality, and accuracy; prepares reports to management as necessary.
- Analyzes processes and equipment to proactively detect issues and minimize unscheduled downtime. Analyze unplanned downtime to determine causality and make recommendations to prevent future problems. Creates designs, models, and schematics for either in house or outside vendors to construct. Assists in the construction of such systems, and is responsible for system tests, validation, and issue resolution.
- Participates in and coordinates internal programs, such as communications, vacation schedules, job analysis and evaluation, employee performance reviews, wage administration, etc.
- Maintains conformance with STIHL employee and safety rules and regulations, issues violation warnings and administers approved disciplinary measures when necessary.

Specifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Egnineering
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Working knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks and AutoCAD preferred)
- Blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
- PLC experience (Siemens preferred)
- Project management experience
- Presentation skills and experience using Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and MiniTab
- Hands on processing experience in particular field of engineering.
