• Compensation: $83,000 - $105,000 per year. Actual compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and internal equity

About You

You are an analytical and solutions-oriented logistics professional who thrives in a complex, international environment. You have experience managing projects from analysis and planning through implementation, with a strong focus on optimizing supply chain and warehouse operations. You are comfortable developing and evaluating logistics concepts, supporting ERP system implementations, and identifying opportunities to improve warehouse processes and standards.

Purpose

To provide leadership and expertise in the warehousing and fulfillment processes used at STIHL Inc. facilities.  Become a change agent for continuous improvement and standardization.  Support initiatives that drive safety, service, accuracy and efficiency improvements. 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Manages challenging projects ranging from analysis, planning and implementation in an international sales and logistics environment, as well as optimizing the supply chain within the STIHL Group.
• Develops and evaluates logistics concepts for new products / suppliers.
• Responsible for logistical requirements associated with implementing and optimizing ERP system(s).
• Develops further implementation of STIHL warehouse logistics standards for the optimization of existing and planned warehouses.
• Develops logistics key figures, tools and instruments as well as supports metrics collection for the Logistics Balanced Scorecard, including group-wide logistic cost and performance recording.
• Participates in the review and, if necessary, application of new logistics technologies at the STIHL warehouse locations.
• Participates in the capital investment process for the warehouse locations. 
• All other duties and responsibilies as assigned.

Specifications

• A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, Business Administration (analytical focus), or a related field, plus 5+ years of relevant professional experience OR 10+ years of relevant professional experience in logistics, supply chain, operations, analytics, continuous improvement, or related disciplines.
• Experience with SAP or other warehouse management ERP systems.
• 10% travel required.
