About You

Responsible for providing high level customer service in a professional manner to both internal and external customers and to provide administrative support to HR Department. Supports Senior Manager, HR Operations, with various employee services and employee communications activities and programs. Works in a professional manner within established polices and legal standards pursuant to company goals.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serves STIHL customers, either providing answers to employees and guests or directing them to the appropriate person for assistance.
  • Answers employee questions including but not limited to current news, FMLA, requests for attendance information, direct deposit assistance, job openings, parking passes and ID cards.
  • Assists with varying levels of support for the HR Department, including but not limited to answering phones & taking messages, sorting & distributing mail, ordering office supplies, and keeping office presentable for customers and visitors.
  • Supports in the planning and execution of annual family picnic and holiday party.
  • Supports Senior Manager, HR Operations, by assisting various employee service and communication events.
  • May arragne travel and expense reports.
  • Performs other related duties or projects as required. 

Specifications

  • High school diploma or GED; Associates degree preferred.
  • Prior work in a Human Resources environment preferred.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments simultaneously with strong attention to detail. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels in the organization.
  • Ability to protect and maintain highly confidential information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
  • Ability to be flexible and work in a fast paced environment.
