You would be responsible for the planning, implementation, and coordination activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for production purposes, materials, products, and parts. Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
- Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
- Establishes programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
- Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.
- Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality activities.
- Coordinates and reports on achievement and maintenance of quality certifications.
- Participates and coordinates internal and external audits of STIHL processes, ensuring smooth and successful outcome of audits.
- Develops and generates statistical reports on inspection activities and results, new product or process testing results, etc. and recommends action as required.
- Maintains currency with respect to technical skills by attending training classes, special technical and administration courses, seminars, exhibits and trade shows as needed.
- All work affecting product quality shall be competent on the basis of appropriate education, training, skills, and experience. Assumes additional related responsibilities as required.
Specifications
- 4 year college degree in related discipline, preferably Mechanical Engineering.
- 4+ years of related experience.
