Compensation Analyst


Do you love getting into the details, coming up with new compensation strategies with a team and then implementing them? We are seeking an experienced Compensation Analyst that will analyze, recommend and report on compensation and benefit programs to help STIHL Inc. continue to be a competitive and leading employer in the industry. 

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conducts market pricing and job evaluation analysis to ensure STIHL pay and bonus plans are competitive to the market and internally equitable.  Responsible for reviewing, analyzing and providing recommendations for position review requests.  
  • Responsible for routine and ad hoc analysis and administration of the compensation programs such as bonuses, compensation structures, merit increases and performance reviews.
  • Works with the Manager, Total Rewards to provide the recruiting team with base pay recommendations and market / pay related data for internal and external candidates. 
  • Contributes organizational data and analyzes results of compensation surveys.  Makes recommendations for STIHL’s compensation programs such as salary structure changes and merit/promotion budgets based on survey results. 
  • Maintains STIHL’s job descriptions.  Works with the Human Resource Business Leaders and supervisors / managers to ensure job descriptions are up to date and accurately reflect the job. 
  • Works with the Manager, Total Rewards to ensure compensation and benefit programs are communicated effectively.
  • Responsible for the creation and distribution of annual Total Compensation Statements.
  • Responsible for ensuring all federally regulated reporting, such as EEO-1, 5500s, etc. are completed accurately and on time.
  • Assumes additional related responsibilities as needed.
  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4+ years of experience preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft office software, including Word, Excel, Power Point & Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • CCP Preferred.
