Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Builds and maintains habitual positive relationships within cross functional teams in multiple departments.
- Provides management analyses of business data for use in decision making and organizational efficiency improvement initiatives.
- Works with all STIHL Inc. department team members to include but not limited to Finance, Sales, Marketing, Technical Services, Engineering, Production, Production Scheduling, Maintenance, Materials and Purchasing, Warehousing.
- Supports data based decision making and development solutions by co-creating or initiating clear problem statements, methods & standards and timelines for testing and evaluation (e.g. base-line data).
- Builds and maintains current state and future state detailed process flow diagrams to show visual representation of process activities, resources and systems.
- Aggregates and performs statistical analysis on business data based on requests from project teams or senior leadership.
- Develops and implements solutions for departmental problems using problem solving techniques like DMAIC, 5-Why, Ishikawa Diagrams, and many others. Compiles, drafts and presents clear synthesized findings as well as periodic project work updates to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
- Supports training and leadership development towards an accountable mindset of continuous improvement aligned with Global STIHL.
- Participates in the development, deployment, engagement, and optimization of the leadership development program.
- Assumes additional related duties as needed.
Specifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 7+ years of experience preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma and Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Previous experience working in close team environment preferred.
- Performs work under minimal supervision.
- Handles complex issues and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
- Basic SAP experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem solving, analytical and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to encourage, guide, and direct others to improve performance.
