About You
Purpose
To manage, benchmark, analyze, review, develop and expand internal and external business process development initiatives and other projects across all of STIHL Inc. To lead cross functional teams, leveraging multiple problem solving tools and methodologies. To support subject matter expertise in the continuous improvement process, participate in review boards and work with idea plus, and enhance problem solving methodology in order to improve quality, cost savings and efficiently manage future growth.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Builds, leads and maintains habitual positive relationships within cross functional teams in multiple departments.
- Provides project management and analyses of business data for use in decision-making and organizational efficiency improvement initiatives. Works with all STIHL Inc. department team members to include but not limited to Finance, Sales, Marketing, Technical Services, Engineering, Production, Production Scheduling, Maintenance, Materials and Purchasing, Warehousing.
- Supports databased decision-making and development solutions by co-creating or initiating clear problem statements, methods & standards and timelines for testing and evaluation (e.g. base-line data).
- Builds and maintains current state and future state detailed process flow diagrams to show visual representation of process activities, resources and systems.
- Aggregates and performs statistical analysis on business data based on requests from project teams or senior leadership.
- Conducts Project Management in accordance with STIHL global group standards and helps project leads to develop and implement solutions for departmental problems using various problem solving techniques like DMAIC, 5-Why, Ishikawa Diagrams, among others and incorporating change management techniques to support implementation.
- Compiles drafts and presents clear synthesized findings as well as periodic project work updates to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
- Supports training and leadership development towards an accountable mindset of continuous improvement aligned with Global STIHL.
- Participates in the development, deployment, engagement, and optimization of the leadership development Program.
- Organizes, leads, and supports cross-functional workshops focused on operational excellence and lean initiatives

Specifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, accounting, business management, supply chain management or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- 7+ years of related work experience required
- PMP Certification, Process Modeling, Agile Project Management, Lean Six Sigma and Manufacturing experience preferred
- Previous experience working in close team environment preferred
- Performs work under minimal supervision. Handles complex issues and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365
- MS Power BI or similar
- Basic SAP experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem solving, analytical and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to encourage, guide, and direct others to improve performance
