About You

You’re a reliable warehouse team member skilled in receiving, stocking, picking, and safely operating equipment like pallet jacks.
 
The ideal candidate will live in or around Oxford, CT or be open to relocation. 

Purpose

Responsible for a variety of functions within the distribution center, such as receiving, stocking, loading and unloading merchandise, picking and operating heavy-duty equipment such as pallet jacks.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Receives incoming orders for parts, accessories, or product by inspecting incoming documentation and matching with items received. 
  • Notifies supervisor of any discrepancies for further processing.
  • Unloads received items from trucks or other transit containers and transfer items to designated stock location.
  • Receives work orders from supervisor or other oral instructions to ascertain orders to be filled.  Picks orders by visually identifying part numbers, quantities and types.
  • Packages order by applying approved methods to ensure safety of shipping and moves to appropriate staging location.
  • Prepares completed orders for shipping using accepted methods determined by transit type, such as FedEx or commercial transit.  Creates labels and other supporting documentation for shipping.  Records transactions as required.
  • May load trucks or other transit containers with completed orders when necessary, ensuring safe operation and secure packing for over the road transit.
  • May record material transfers, storage and other movements on RF scanners, ensuring accuracy of information.
  • Follows all defined safety procedures and uses judgment to ensure safe work methods.
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Specifications

Education: High school diploma or GED

  • Degree/Diploma in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 1+ months related experience and/or training

Work Experience: 6 months-1 year

Travel Requirements: Minimal
