Marketing Manager

Purpose

As a family-owned company, it’s the people who continue to make STIHL a successful, world-class brand. STIHL is seeking a highly motivated, ambitious Marketing Manager to join our Mid-Atlantic STIHL branch location in Hillsborough, NC.


This person will develop, implement and manage branch-marketing activities as well as design marketing programs and work with branch management, corporate marketing and marketing agencies to support branch goals and drive sales and market share growth.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plans and oversees branch advertising and in-store promotional activities and branch communications, including print, electronic and digital outlets.
  • Develops and implements Marketing Advantage Program (MAP) and dealer marketing contribution structure and invoicing. Directs outside marketing agencies on planning and execution of MAP.
  • Manages all branch-to-dealer communications (both electronic and print) including, but not limited to, marketing, sales, technical services, policies, etc.
  • Manages all literature, promotional giveaways, show materials, etc. for dealer events, meetings, tradeshows and other branch support activities.
  • Manages marketing budget, including submissions of purchase requisitions, receiving, classifying, and approving invoices.
  • Coordinates all marketing activities with corporate marketing directives.
  • Coordinates and manages logistics, communication and organization of foreign and domestic dealer trips and events, including working with travel agency for procurement and relevant tax document collection.
  • Manages STIHL Edge, Norscot offerings, BOPUS dealer set-ups and other marketing-related initiatives. May supervise in the retail display development and installation activities for STIHL products at dealer locations.
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Specifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years related experience.   
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency required.
  • Adobe Creative Suite proficiency required; InDesign experience preferred.        
  • Basic SAP experience preferred.
  • Able to comply with work related overnight travel of up to 25% that may exceed 50 nights per year.
