Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Establishes, in conjunction with Director, Branch Operations, marketing goals to ensure share of market and profitability of products, spare parts and accessories sales.
  • Develops and executes marketing programs and plans, both short and long range, to ensure the achievement of preceding goals.
  • Participates in overall branch management through providing counsel and input to Director.
  • Recommends overall strategies and develops plans to implement strategies.
  • Makes recommendations relative to budget allocations by specific media type and application.
  • Participates in department budget development process and regularly monitors and analyzes department progress vs. plans and budget, industry developments, and company communications.
  • Plans and oversees the branch's advertising and promotion activities, including print, electronic, and digital outlets.
  • Communicates with outside advertising agencies and corporate marketing communications personnel regarding ongoing campaigns.
  • Works with writers and artists and oversees copywriting, design, layout, media planning and production of promotional materials.
  • Works with assigned manager (Director, Sales or Dealer Development) to produce and distribute dealer marketing and communications programs.
  • May create and produce certain materials; other materials will be created and produced by outside sources.
  • Evaluates market reactions to advertising programs; communicates with management about conditions and changes to ensure the timely adjustment of marketing and communications strategy and plans to meet changing market or competitive conditions.
  • Uses available market research in evaluation and planning process; may conduct market research when appropriate or necessary.
  • Supervises ancillary programs, including but not limited to, dealer database and dealer locator, Marketing Advantage Program (MAP) and iCademy® participation.
  • May supervise administrative support necessary for the effective operation of the branch advertising and marketing functions.

Specifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years related experience preferred.
  • Performs work under minimal supervision.
  • Handles complex issues and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Basic Microsoft software knowledge, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Office.
  • Desktop publishing knowledge, including Adobe—Photo Shop/In Design, preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Must be comfortable developing and delivering presentations.
  • Basic SAP experience preferred.
  • Must be able to travel 5+ consecutive days per month by road and/or air.
