About You

This person will repair, maintain, and install various types of electromechanical machinery and control systems.  To work with various Maintenance Team Leaders and Engineers to integrate auxiliary equipment with other machinery and to help in other areas as needed. To implement other projects related to plant maintenance and equipment preventive maintenance as required.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Performs complex tasks required to maintain equipment functionality and minimize downtime.
  • Uses knowledge of PLC/CNC/HMI and motion control software to troubleshoot equipment and make repairs.
  • Uses knowledge of PLC to perform programming functions as required.
  • Uses knowledge of electromechanical skills in the construction, modification and maintenance of equipment.
  • Uses experience and judgment to determine the best course of action to maintain equipment functionality.
  • Performs preventive maintenance to maintain equipment within manufacturer specifications.
  • Provides guidance and training to lower level technicians.
  • Disassembles equipment as required to replace defective components and to return it to an operational condition.
  • Works alone with no direct supervision.
  • Completes work in compliance with ISO14001 and 9000 and performs duties safely and conscientiously.
  • Maintains appropriate level of technical and professional skills by attending training classes, seminars, exhibits, and trade shows as needed.
  • All work affecting product quality shall be competent on the basis of appropriate education, training, skills, and experience.
  • Assumes additional related responsibilities as required.

Specifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years related formal training in engineering or related field.
  • Certified apprenticeship graduation in Mechatronics, Electronic or Mechanical Technician preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic maintenance and equipment integration.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic blueprints, drawings and documentation.
  • Training in PLC/CNC/HMI and motion control software.
