As a family-owned company, it’s the people who continue to make STIHL a successful, world-class brand. STIHL is seeking Truck Drivers to join our Raw Materials Warehouse Team at STIHL’s corporate headquarters in Virginia Beach!


This person process all bills of lading, shipping documentation, and other records for incoming and outgoing materials, products, parts, and operating equipment. To receive and arrange for the distribution of non-inventory items, such as MRO or other internally used items. To provide general recordkeeping and administrative support to the materials department regarding shipping and receiving functions..


The position hours are either 6:00am to 6:00pm OR 6:00pm to 6:00am. Typical 3 week schedule -


  • Sat/Sunday work, Mon/Tues off-no work / Wed-Thurs-Friday work   
  • Second week – Sat/Sun off-no work , Mon- Tues work/ Wed -Thurs – Fri off-no work   
  • Third week repeats back to first week schedule
    • Note – schedule allows for not more than three 12 hour shifts in a row and averages 42 hrs./week over a two week schedule.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Obtains invoices of incoming shipments, receives EDI data and reconciles errors with Purchasing, and schedules shipment arrivals and material distributions within VB warehouses.
  • Receives shipping documentation regarding incoming materials and releases materials via computerized inventory system so that materials may be checked, stocked and used.
  • Receives incoming non-inventory shipments (MRO). Physically inspects each shipment for damage, content, and count.
  • Matches packing slips or other shipping documentation with internal purchase orders and delivers to or arranges for the delivery to receiving party.
  • Processes records of delivery and distributes to appropriate personnel. Receives, ships, and processes special request orders, such as molds, tooling, prototype products, collateral items, etc. Maintains records, files, and other systems and retrieves information as needed for special shipments, receipts, or internal transfers.
  • Provides documentation to other departments as needed for payment of invoices, for future billing or account reconciliation, or for material storage location.
  • Works with other departments to process returns, reconcile incorrect shipments, or track and expedite urgent or rush orders. Makes adjustments to computerized inventory system in conjunction with inventory control personnel to correct or adjust inventory system problems, material problems, or location problems.
  • Provides general administrative support by generating special and regular reports, maintaining department files and records, and maintaining department office equipment and supplies.
  • All work affecting product quality shall be competent on the basis of appropriate education, training, skills, and experience. Performs related assignments as requested.


  • High school diploma or equivalent. 1 year related experience and/or training.
  • Average score on basic skill test batteries. Average score on mechanical concepts test batteries.
    Uses hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Reaches with hands and arms. Sits frequently, stands, walks, stoops, kneels and crouches occasionally.
  • Lifts and/or moves up to 10 pounds frequently and lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds occasionally.
