As STIHL Inc.'s Planning Analyst, this individual will maintain proper branch inventory levels for powerheads, accessories and spare parts to meet the product availability goals. They will support the Manager Branch Planning in optimizing processes and communication as well as enhancing system support.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for optimization of branch inventory for powerheads, accessories and spare parts. Ensures there is a good balance met between product availability, minimizing handling costs and reduce scrapping cost.
  • Provides SAP Forecasting, MLE Forecasting, MRP, Master Data Management and GIS support to branches to ensure sales forecasts, purchase forecasts, coverage profiles, and Master Data are optimal and in accordance with goals.
  • Troubleshoots and provides training assistance to department and customers. Creates annual planning projection package and consults branches in setting up the annual budget for sales and
  • purchases. Places orders for spare parts and accessories as required. Reviews sales to dealer orders and pace of consumption at all STIHL branches. Requests add-on orders or releases, if required, to meet the product availability goals. Troubleshoots incomplete orders or forecast deviations in SAP monthly. Responsible for coordinating the correction of missing and/or incorrect purchase plan or purchase order information with Product Planning.
  • Maintains MLE and SAP databases with respect to Master Data (new part numbers, supersede, phase-out) for use in customer communication and internal reference.
  • Seeks out feedback from sales planning team and branch management when necessary. Responds to questions
  • regarding inventory availability, sales usage history, backorders and order statuses with STIHL Inc. and outside
  • vendors. Coordinates with the VB Spare Parts Dept., Order Management, Customer Service, Product Planning as well as outside vendors.
  • Responsible for set-up and configuration of branch sales forecasting parameters and MRP programs. Responds to customer inquiries.
  • Monitors forecast accuracy and follows up with the branch on areas of concern.

Specifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of related experience preferred        
  • APICS certification preferred.
