Operations & Project Management Specialist

This individual will keep the group moving in the right direction as it relates to omnichannel strategy. They will be responsible for crafting a long-term strategy, objectives, and helping us stay on track to rowing in that direction.  Analytics will be core to this role, and how we manage those relationships to drive a strong STIHL brand, dealer, and customer interaction will be critical to success.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Working closing on regular planning cycles alongside demand planning, this role will have the responsibility to drive forecast accuracy of highlighted channels.  
  • Individual will need to understand the manufacturing and financial implications of the forecast and ensure the demand signal is accurate and that supply equals demand.
  • Works through the allocation process and determines best ways to proceed.
  • Partner with logistics to improve the ROI on delivery, incorporating network optimization, partners, packaging, and other areas to support a seamless dealer and customer journey for ecommerce orders across BOPIS and other solutions.
  • Drive the ability for tracking orders. 
  • Understand the reverse logistics process and create processes to reduce friction amongst all stakeholders.
  • Understand voice of the customer and how we can deliver better customer support at onboarding or beyond.  
  • Understands dealer needs and customer needs and how we can resource and effectively manage using technology.
  • Ensures robust quarterly and weekly planning, and that cross-functional and team skillset improvements are.
  • Managing larger scope projects, which could be related to registration, ecommerce community building, ecommerce, loyalty, and others.  
  • The scope would include both strategy and execution and would coordinate closely with cross-functional partners. 


  • Bachelor's degree; preferred in the areas of operations, supply chain, strategy, or business-related fields

  • S&OP; logistics, forecasting, reverse logistics, customer support
  • 1 – 4 years experience required; preferred in a operations or logistics role
  • Minimal travel required
