Marketing Communication Specialist

This individual will produce and maintain marketing communications assets for use in print, video, on-line, off-line, social and in-store. This includes all production aspects such as copy creation, art direction, photo/video supervision, print production and other aspects to support the marketing communications team. They will support in production and review of related marketing materials for Branches, Distributors and Dealers.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Creates, produces and manages various printed projects.
  • Communications include but are not limited to STIHL Product Information Guides, brochures, catalogs and like materials.
  • Ensures that all literature reflects current STIHL brand personality, quality, accuracy and legal compliance.
  • Acts as the liaison with product managers, product information, and other departments for the gathering of information for said literature.
  • Coordinates with purchasing in the selection of printing vendors, printers and on time delivery of literature as required.
  • Manages and conducts photo/video shoots and ensures delivery of useable materials for literature, advertising, videos and other communications platforms to support brand, retail, social, in-store and other initiatives.
  • Maintains and manages the STIHL photo studio. Reviews, comments and routes in-store marketing materials from agencies, Branches and Distributors.
  • This includes but not limited to STIHL Edge video support and update, hangtag production, Why Buys, etc.
  • Manages and maintains the on line marketing library ensuring that materials are current and available through authorized access levels. Assists at national sales/distributor meetings as appropriate.
  • Ensures compliance with budgetary guidelines and may participate in the creation of budgets. Assumes additional duties as needed


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years related experience preferred. Previous project management experience preferred.
  • Performs work under general supervision.
  • Handles moderately complex issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft software, including Word, Excel, & PowerPoint.
  • Must be proficient in Photoshop, Adobe and other graphic programs.
  • Excellent photography and graphic design skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to give presentations for large and small groups.
  • Must be able to travel 20+ days per year by road and/or air.
