Project Outline:

STIHL Inc. has an opportunity for a Purchasing Intern! 

Working hours are from 8:30-5:00

• Gather and analyze supplier and spend data to create cost reduction opportunities
• Assist with supplier development related projects
• Review and correct missing or incorrect master record data within SAP
• Assist in market research and supplier sourcing supporting new products
• Additional projects available.  (if needed)

Project Goals:

• Support the Purchasing Department in projects
• Develop an interest in Purchasing as a profession
• Work with world-class suppliers and experienced Purchasing professionals

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current Student working towards a degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain or other technical discipline such as Engineering.
• Must be in Junior or Senior year of degree program, Senior preferred.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA (on 4.0 scale).
• Proficiency with MS Office programs is required.
• Must be self motivated, disciplined and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Must have good oral and written communication skills.
