Polymers Process Engineer Intern

Project Outline:

STIHL Inc. has an opportunity for a Process Engineer Intern in the Polymers department! 

This intern will work with the process engineering group to support daily production of injection molding systems. 

Project Goals:

• Small ROI investigation into automating manual process
• Assist with troubleshooting of production equipment
• Cycle time reduction study on molding process

Preferred Qualifications:

Polymers or mechanical design of study preferred.  Mechanical, Robotic, Polymers Engineering etc.  Sophomore or higher preferred.  Above 3.0 preferred.

Preferred Candidate Qualities

• Motivated and interest levels in Plastics or Stihl in general
• Curious and entrepreneurial qualities
• Adept and comfortable in software environments (Design, Excel, etc)
