Project Outline:

STIHL Inc. has an opportunity for a Machine & Automation Intern! 

This intern will have focus in the following: 

Help the Automation team with implementation of automated systems delivered to STIHL Inc.

• Help with installation.
• Troubleshoot as needed.
• Observe the automation and collect data; as needed, analyze data to support decision making.
• Root cause analysis as needed.
• Assist with smaller design changes
• Possible smaller program changes
• Support NTB testing
• Assist with RFQ and project specifications for new projects.

Project Goals:

• Improve the performance of installed automations at STIHL Inc.
• Develop strategies for ramping up automations.
• Understanding the scope and importance of root cause analysis.
• Learn how automations are designed and built.

Preferred Qualifications:

• SolidWorks modeling
• Detail drawing abilities
• Machine design basics

Preferred Candidate Qualities

• Good ability to interact with internal and external customers and suppliers.
• Preferred root cause analysis experience or similar.
• Hands on experience is a plus.
