Inside Sales Rep

Purpose

To handle incoming customer calls utilizing STIHL Inc. resources and call center policies and procedures to provide complete and accurate responses in one of four functional areas:  order entry, technical, e-Sales or order inquiry.  Responsible for calling on an assigned list of accounts for the purpose of keeping regular contact and to increase sales.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Educates and keeps assigned dealers abreast of current/new products and related co-op advertising.
  • Calls on dealers to solicit orders and resolves dealer concerns, explains terms and special programs.
  • Assists with completing the Spring and Fall STIHL booking programs.
  • Identifies and processes customer orders/inquiries completely and accurately, using STIHL Inc. call center technologies as directed and in accordance with company standards.
  • Resolves customer complaints and problems, to the satisfaction of the customer.
  • Uses customer service and sales skills to optimize the opportunity of each customer contact.  Follows up with customers in accordance with STIHL Inc. call center guidelines.
  • Educates the customer about STIHL Inc. products and services, and directs each toward available resources for help.
  • Completes necessary documentation to manage customer complaints, issues and subsequent solutions.
  • Alerts management regarding issues or concerns that require escalation for complete resolution.
  • Participates in individual and team trainings and meetings to ensure knowledge is up to date.
  • Maintains the appropriate level of technical and professional skills in the attempt to meet all sales goals for the company.
  • All work affecting product quality shall be competent on the basis of appropriate education, training, skills, and experience.
  • Performs additional related duties as required.
Specifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of related experience.   
  • Intermediate Computer skills.
  • Schedule flexibility to meet needs of the department.
  • Ability to manage occasional, scheduled business travel.
