Industrial Engineer

Position Highlights:

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Studies functional statements, organization charts, and project information to determine functions and responsibilities of workers and work units and to identify areas of duplication.
  • Establishes work measurement programs and analyzes work samples to develop standards for labor utilization.
  • Analyzes work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment.  Participates in machine and labor capacity planning.
  • Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities such as restructuring job duties, reorganize work flow, relocate work stations and equipment, and the purchase of equipment.
  • Participates in the gathering, recording, and classifying of production information as it pertains to Bills of Materials and routings.  Works with Manufacturing Engineering to accurately classify unit production costs.
  • Confers with management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations.  
  • Maintains production equipment layout.
  • Develops management systems for cost analysis, financial planning, wage and salary administration, and job evaluation.
  • Maintains currency with respect to technical and supervisory skills by attending training classes, special technical and administration courses, seminars, exhibits and trade shows as needed.
  • All work affecting product quality shall be competent on the basis of appropriate education, training, skills, and experience.
  • Assumes additional related responsibilities as required.
  • 4 year college degree in related discipline.
  • 4 plus years of related experience
  • Proficiency in Autocad, SAP, and other computer systems as appropriate
