Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the setting of goals and objectives and monitors progress for managing customer orders and ensuring high service levels with managed cost attributes.  Monitors inventory levels and reconciles inventory levels with planning schedules to ensure successful supply chains.
  • Develops and oversees best practices for maintaining positive relationships with outside customers, other STIHL Group subsidiaries and STIHL Germany for all components in regard to schedule, quality and availability and service speed.
  • Develop and oversees best practices for managing orders.  Ensuring agreed service strategy for all shipping lanes in conjunction with Germany logistics team.  Develop best practices for supply chain flows for inventory targets, replenishment window management, coverage profiles and service and cost levels.
  • Develop Strategic Plans to support critical master data to accommodate export compliance for materials, parts or products required to implement export strategies.   Works with other department personnel, to develop required information standards based on export control and country laws.
  • Works with other departments' personnel, such as Purchasing, Production, Quality Assurance, Engineering, etc. to rectify defective or unacceptable goods, plans for future requirements, or incorporate technical needs into future bids and proposals
  • Maintains manual and computerized records and documentation pertaining to past activities, internal and external customer specifications and performance histories, etc. and provides information as needed.
  • Provide strategic planning for keeping the export department and processes relevant with export standards, technology advancements and team capability including outside partners with shipping companies, ports, forwarders, outside warehouses etc.
  • Assumes additional related responsibilities as required.

Specifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • 5-7 years related experience.
