The Event Marketing Intern will support the corporate communications team with a focus on event marketing activities, including support of the planning and execution of STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® and other STIHL marketing events. Specific duties will include providing administrative, logistical, technical and on-site support at the events. The intern will also assist with material orders, setup and tear-down, reporting activities and other duties as assigned. Projected working hours may vary per week, but estimated at 40 hours on average. During events, hours may increase in excess of 40 hours. 

Preferred Candidate Qualities

• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Ability to lift or move up to 40 pounds frequently
• Willingness to travel and work overtime as needed
• Familiar with STIHL outdoor power equipment

Internship Goals:

• Assist with the planning and execution of STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® and other STIHL marketing events.
• Promote the STIHL brand and increase our presence at STIHL sponsored events. 
• Opportunity to gain experience in event planning and production, corporate communications, public relations and social media promotion.

Internship Requirements:

Academic Year: Junior or Senior

Area of Study: Marketing, Communications, Business or Public Relations

Preferred GPA: 3.0 or above

Software Experience: Microsoft Office (Words, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Work Hours: 8:30am-5:00pm
