Brand Integrity Specialist

This individual will assist and monitor all aspects of the company's brand integrity.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Under general supervision, coordinates the response and resolution of brand integrity issues in the U.S. market: including, but not limited to, unauthorized product sales, unauthorized modification of products, counterfeit and knock-off product, gray market sales, trademark and copyright infringement, and internet sales.
  • Oversee the use of trademarks/patents in the U.S., including coordinating with outside legal counsel, registering trademarks and monitor the correct market use of trademarks by Branches/Distributors, the STIHL Inc. Sales and Marketing department.
  • Counterfeit and Gray Market Goods – Responsible for investigating/coordinating the Company’s response to counterfeit and gray market goods in the U.S.
  • Reviews literature, marketing materials and other publications and communications for Marketing, Sales, Technical Services and other internal departments of STIHL Inc. as well as for Distributors, Branches and outside service providers, including:
    • Sales training materials, iCADEMY®
    • Safety videos
    • Scripts of presentations
    • Materials developed by outside service agencies for use in marketing publications and advertising
    • Branch Dealer Support Manuals, Branch communications to dealers
    • Technical Bulletins
    • Photo/Marketing shoots
  • Works as point of contact with certain regulatory bodies websites such as CPSC, Customs.  Coordinates electronic communications with CPSC.
  • Under the supervision of the Sr. Mgr., Product Information, advises the Company’s departments, branches and customers regarding risk management and product liability issues.  Informational resource to Company's departments regarding products, applications, and product and company history.
  • In conjunction with the Sr. Mgr., Product Information, provides research and analysis for Product Information Manager in discovery, research, and investigation efforts. Assists with product recalls as required.
  • Represent department on the Charitable Donations Committee.
  • All work affecting product quality shall be competent on the basis of appropriate education, training, skills and experience.


  • Advanced technical, applications and product knowledge and experience, including operation, maintenance and service.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office software, including Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe Acrobat, eService & internet research
  • Occasional overnight and international travel.
  • German literacy a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, problem solving, organization, proofreading and editing.
  • Ability to deal with adversarial situations and a positive, open attitude.
  • Commitment to Corporate and individual compliance with legal and ethical obligations.
  • Special Training Preferred to include: interviewing, communication, and negotiation.
