Mgr, Dealer Services



To assist Branch Mgr in the development, implementation and management of dealer support programs that increase sales and improve dealer relations. Responsible for Merchandising personnel and activities and/or the direct supervision of Branch Tech Services and Technical Sales Specialist(s).

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develops and determines dealer needs, competitive issues, merchandising requirements, and training needs.
  • Utilizes all available information, including but not limited to market analysis, surveys and corporate information.
  • Plans, develops, implements and coordinates dealer sales and training programs, including but not limited to new dealers, multi-line dealers and exclusive dealers.
  • Special emphasis to be placed on Hardware, Farm & Ranch dealers.
  • Plans, develops, implements and coordinates new and existing dealer programs that may include non-traditional dealer base.
  • Directs activities associated with dealer training, which may include merchandising, tech service and other general business training.
  • Coordinate with merchandisers the ordering and stocking of merchandise inventory and displays.
  • Supervises performance, training, and work of Merchandising personnel and/or the Branch Tech Service and Applications personnel.
  • Serves as a liaison with dealers on technical issues pertaining to product service, parts usage, or related areas.
  • Develops communications pertaining to common service problems and distributes as needed. Supervises performance, training and work of technical department, as appropriate and assigned.
  • All work affecting product quality shall be competent on the basis of appropriate education, training, skills, and experience.
  • Performs other related duties as needed or assigned by Mgr Branch.


  • 4 year college degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related discipline.
  • 10 years of related experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 2 days per week of overnight travel by road and/or air.
